 You've
been asking for it, and finally, available again
for the first time in years, the CD from the
Ace In The Hole Band, George Strait's long
time famed touring band. Back in 1995, these
guys went in the studio and cut a CD for fun and
to showcase their diversity in musical styles
that they like to play.
Included are two
instrumentals, one of fast country pickin' and
the other on the jazzy side of swing. Five of
the tunes were written by members of the band,
probably most notably, "Something
Special", George Strait's big hit, written and
sung here by Ace member David Anthony.
Along with AITHB
member Benny McArthur's lead vocals there are
two guest appearances by country greats Mel
Tills and Darrell McCall, both singing the
living daylights out of country shuffles.
